i'm so excited to be joining in with faith over at life with mrs. g and the artist today for her monthly series, the
golden vlog! faith started this series a few months ago and i've been wanting to join in, but friends, making a vlog is work! catching some time on a good hair day, in decent lighting, when my room isn't a total mess (i.e. christmas presents
everywhere right now) and at a time where i can actually sit down and make a video seems practically impossible sometimes! then when you add the fact that i have no idea what i'm doing when it comes to video stuff (like, i have zero clue how to edit at all...i can barely figure out how to make imovie export the file!), it's a miracle this is coming at you today. but here we go...the december golden vlog!
despite the fact that it took a little bit of work....i had so much fun making this video for you! faith dishes out some great questions, all about christmas (of course!) and it was so fun getting to share a little bit about what christmas in the gettis household looks like! the link-up is open all week long, so if you find some time, join in with us!
Betsy!! So glad you join us today! I loved your video. The christmas memory was sooo sweet! Sounds like an awesome memory. I love that song you mentioned too.
ReplyDeleteI love the memory you shared of Christmas in your new house! How lovely! As soon as I did my vlog, I thought of a million other songs I love, O Come Immanuel and Come All Thee Faithful. I do like the haunting vibe of the first one though. And it sounds like you are so busy at Christmas but you love it. Also, a wrapping party! Maybe then I would actually get my wrapping done! Nice to "meet" you "in person."
ReplyDeleteWe have to spend a lot of time visiting family on both sides between christmas eve & day. a lot of running around, but fun for sure!
ReplyDeleteWatching these vlogs has been so fun! Love getting to know everyone a little bit more! Also, exactly who doesn't love Elf :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute, I love your voice!!
ReplyDeleteOooh toms wedges. and yoga mat! Sweet gifts, Betsy! And it's so great to hear your voice :)
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable, I love that your parents make you stay upstairs still. So cute!
ReplyDeleteA wrapping party sounds like such a great idea! So fun!
ReplyDeleteMy parents make us all sleep in the same room (well, until I got married) and would literally put different types of tape all over the doorway so they'd know if we'd get out early. It was more for fun than actual seriousness of keeping us upstairs.
ReplyDeleteI loved watching this! It's always fun to see a video of a blogger and be able to catch more of their personality. You seem like so much fun! And your Christmas traditions and plans sound wonderful. It was fun to hear from another girl who is dating, since most of the other girls are married. We split up holidays, too, so it was interesting to hear how another couple does it.
ReplyDeleteSo excited to finally hear your voice! You're so darn adorable! haha! But really, I love that you're able to carry on traditions into adulthood with your immediate family (my brother & I do the same thing!) and have managed to find a good balance with your family and AJ's as well! I pray that these next 2 weeks will be a time of great joy and bask in the presence of the coming Christ! Love you, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you had Christmas at your new house that year and that you planted the tree! What an awesome memory!
ReplyDeleteYour mannerisms are pretty much exactly how I pictured they would be. ;) I love the idea of a wrapping party! I've never heard of that before, but it would definitely force me to be a little more proactive about present buying. My Christmas day is just as crazy as yours! It's like a puzzle that fits perfectly. ;)
